  • Planning, organizing, and supervision of manpower, resources, materials, and equipment required to execute work scopes
  • Providing technical guidance and recommendation in accordance with relevant industry standards and best engineering practices.
  • Liaise with Workshop Manager to update job schedule’s route sheet, technical clarifications, update on job status and completion.
  • Communicating job progress updates to management effectively, including anticipation of delays and disruption to schedules.
  • Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements
  • Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Oversee housekeeping, safety and security procedures that result in a safe and attractive environment, and reports unsafe, unhealthy or hazardous working conditions.
  • Ensures the availability and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for technicians
  • Maintains inventories of stocks, tools, workshop equipment and other supplies
  • Gives technical advice as required and prepares technical reports to line manager
  • Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow
  • Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations
  • Ensure that repairs are performed in a professional manner and in accordance with industry accepted good practice.
  • Prepare, supervise and control workshop activities, including the scheduling of work for technicians.
  • Liaise with customers and diagnose customer concerns with equipment prior to being booked in for service and/or repair
  • Assists with Interviews and recommends for employment suitable applicants for workshop roles
  • Upon completion of normal repairs and/or service, inspect and test vehicle with the Technician who completed the job to ensure the vehicle has been repaired and/or serviced in accordance with the customer’s instructions and manufacturers guidelines
  • Ensure customers receive the best quality service by requiring that all jobs are completed correctly the first time
  • Ensure all client vehicles and manufactured products sold to clienys are presented back to the customer in a clean and presentable standard; most importantly that all items listed as intact on the vehicle checklist upon receipt of vehicle , are are intact at the oint of return
  • Check and inspect that all tools are available and maintained in the correct place and that all equipment is in suitable working condition
  • Maintain a well trained workforce and supervise in-house training as required, to ensure the development and progress of all technicians
  • Assist toward keeping the workshop area clear, orderly and attractive in appearance
  • Assist in the coordinating overtime hours
  • Communicating expectations to production team members, manging their performance during throughout their employment and evaluation their performance duringmid-year and year-end appraisals
  • Maintain a high degree of product knowledge on all Buckler’s product offering
  • Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the manager /or management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND qualification with 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
